Terms & Conditions of HOLIDAY COTTAGE RentalS

  • Booking Deposit:  A non-refundable booking deposit of €150.00 per cottage per week is required to reserve accommodation, with the exception of weekend and mid-week rentals where the full amount is required on booking. The booking deposit must be received within 5 working days of the booking. The balance of rentals is payable 8 weeks before arrival. If the date of booking is less than 8 weeks from the arrival date, the full amount is to be paid on booking. Confirmation of booking will issue on receipt of deposit. 
  • Balance of Payment: Full payment of holiday home rental must be made to us, no later than six weeks prior to the rental commencement date. Upon receipt of the balance due, clients will receive arrival instructions. Late payments may result in the holiday home booking(s) being cancelled without advance client notification.
  • Cancellation by Customer: In the event that you wish to cancel your holiday home reservation, the following charges will apply:

    It is strongly advised that clients take out holiday insurance to cover the possibility of cancellation charges.

  • Utility Charges: Heat and electricity is an extra charge and is charged at €5.00 per day in June, July and August and at €9.00 per day for the rest of the year. This charge is normally payable together with your balance payment.
  • Bed Linen and Towels: Bed linen is supplied free of charge in all of our properties. When a holiday Home is being rented for more than one week, you may liaise directly with the site manager if fresh bed linen/towels are required.
  • Special Requests: Requests for specific houses, cots, highchairs etc. must be made at time of reservation and whilst we will endeavor to meet all special requests, they cannot be guaranteed.
  • Accommodation Capacity: For Insurance reasons, the total number of clients staying in each holiday home must not exceed the maximum capacity.
  • Pets: We do accept pets in a limited number of cottages, however, this is by prior agreement only.  If permission is given an extra cleaning charge of €15 per dog is payable.
  • Security Deposit: A security deposit of €100 per cottage per week must be given to the Supervisor on arrival. This will be returned provided the supervisor is satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been complied with. In the event that the supervisor is unable to check the cottage at the clients departure, the security deposit will be forwarded within 7 days. Clients are expected to leave the cottage clean and tidy, otherwise a charge of €50 will be made.
  • Default by the customer: The customer is obliged to ensure that all documentation and details issued by Toureen Estates are correct. In the event that the customer disagrees with the documentation, it must be brought to our attention immediately.
  • Arrival and Departure Times: Possession of cottage must be taken between 16.00hrs. and 18.00hrs. and the cottage vacated by 10.00am on day of departure. It is recommended that clients telephone the supervisor in advance to confirm exact time of arrival.  Failure to notify on-site Supervisor of late arrival could result in loss of reservation.
  • Behaviour: Rental of cottage may be terminated with no refund at the discretion of the supervisor or any officer of the company if clients/occupiers behave in a disruptive manner, cause a nuisance or disturbance, cause damage to the property or in any other circumstance deemed reasonable by the supervisor or any officer of the company.
  • Stag/Hen parties and groups aged 25 and under are strictly prohibited unless agreed in writing. We reserve the right to refuse to check in such groups and will not refund any monies paid in advance in the event of non-disclosure of the age or nature of the party
  • The cottage must be left as it is found and the cost of repairs to or replacement of property will be the responsibility of the client.
  • Liability: Toureen Estates, its employees or agents shall not be liable for any damages, loss, or personal injury which may be sustained by persons or property at any time during the reserved stay.
  • On the expiry or other termination of rental the supervisor and/or any officer of the company may remove all belongings of the client/occupiers of the cottage left in the cottage and store or otherwise deal with the same as deemed appropriate. Notwithstanding the aforesaid the sole risk in respect of such belongings shall at all times remain with the client/occupiers.
  • The supervisor and/or any officer of the company may at all reasonable times visit the cottage.
  • In event of breach of contract on the part of Toureen Estates howsoever arising, any loss or damage including consequential loss sustained by the renter shall be limited to the sum paid by the renter to Toureen Estates.
  • Right to Decline: Toureen Estates reserves the right to refuse, alter or cancel a booking, even after receipt of final payment. In addition, the company is relieved of all liability should reserved accommodation not be available due to circumstances beyond our control. In such an instance, alternative arrangements will be made in similar accommodation or a full refund will be offered. However, no refund or liability will apply to a situation where a client is requested to vacate, or leaves of their own accord, prior to the expiration of the booking.
  • Complaints: In the unlikely event of a complaint, it should be brought to the supervisor’s attention immediately. Failing a satisfactory solution, you should contact Toureen Estates and a written complaint should be logged within 14 days of departure.
